Hector Finch – Accounts Apprentice

Hourly Wage: £8.03, £16,500 pa
Qualification: Accounts- Level 2 or Level 3
Duration: 18 Months

Position Overview

A brief overview of the role

We are based just outside Leominster Town Centre. We have a free car park and most of our employees arrive by car or bike. Many of them do lift shares with each other which they arrange themselves.

We have a great team of predominantly young people, several of whom have already progressed within the company after following the apprenticeship route.

Key responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger

Posting simple invoices to the purchase ledger using Sage and Factory Master accounting software.

Reconciling simple supplier statements.

Pricing

Maintaining accurate price information on Factory Master software.

General Administration

Ad hoc administration duties as required.

Accounts Filing

Assisting the accounts department with general filing

A minimum of 5 GCSEs, Achieved or predicted A*-C or 9-4 Including English and Maths

Future Prospects

This position is initially available on a full-time, fixed-term contract. Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there is the possibility of an ongoing position, which will be discussed at the appropriate time.

The apprenticeship is funded through government funds, with the amount depending on whether the employer is a levy or non-levy payer. Levy-paying employers contribute through the apprenticeship levy, while non-levy employers receive government funding to cover a portion of training costs. Employers also pay the apprentice\’s wages and may contribute to training costs.

Apprenticeships are available to people of all ages, with no upper age limit.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship in England, you typically need to have lived in the UK for at least 3 years before starting the apprenticeship.
