Senior Management
Jane has worked in vocational education since 1994, and set up Riverside Training in 1996, therefore has a wealth of knowledge and industry experience. She is passionate about developing people to their full potential and is driven to provide the highest standard of customer service across all areas of the business.
Lucy Calverley is the Director of Quality, Curriculum, and Safeguarding at Riverside Training. She leads the development of a high-quality curriculum, ensures robust safeguarding, and maintains high standards of quality to enhance the learner experience.
Marlon is a Learning & Development Coach at Riverside Training with over 11 years of experience in education, including roles as a Teacher and Deputy Headteacher, as well as in teacher training and consultancy for organizations such as Harris, Ark, and Teach First. He was promoted to Education Sector Team Leader and later to Learning Director, showcasing his leadership and expertise in the field.
Alix began as a Learner Development Coach and Curriculum Developer and has excelled in her role at Riverside Training. She now leads multiple functions, including the Business Development and Delivery teams, playing a crucial role in supporting our coaches and account managers.
Sarah is the Business Support Team Leader at Riverside Training, bringing a creative background and extensive experience from her previous roles, including Visual Merchandiser at M&S and Brand Assistant at Topshop Head Office. She was recently promoted to Office Manager, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to the organisation.
Sales & Marketing
Rebecca works in the Business Development Team as a Key Account Manager. She supports clients in upskilling and developing their workforce, providing information on qualifications to employers and prospective learners to help them start their learning journey.
Louise joined the company in 2007, bringing energy and dedication to her role as Key Account Manager. Louise is dedicated to building and maintaining strong client relationships. As a key link between clients and the company, she ensures that client needs are met effectively to create a smooth customer journey from onboarding to ongoing support ensuring that client needs are met effectively.
Kieren began his journey with Riverside Training as an apprentice in August 2015. He has since advanced to the role of Marketing Executive, where he leads all marketing campaigns, manages social media activities, and provides essential IT and technology support across the organisation.
Andy Joined Riverside Training in 2022 as an Apprenticeship Engagement Advisor before moving onto the position of Account Manager. Having worked across a variety of sectors Andy is uniquely placed to understand an employers stand point when exploring the Apprenticeship options.
Freya joined Riverside Training as an Enrolment Officer, where she has played a key role in shaping the enrolment process. She oversees the onboarding of apprentices, ensuring a smooth process. Freya also supports hiring and compliance, is an active member of the Safeguarding Team, and is a certified First Aider.
Michelle is our Business Development Manager, focusing on identifying businesses across England to provide personalized learning through apprenticeships, supporting company growth and succession.
Finance
Clare, Director of Finance & Business Support at Riverside, oversees company accounts, payroll, contracts, purchase orders, and financial reporting. She plays a key role in managing the financial operations and supporting business functions across the company.
Maddie joined Riverside as a Finance Apprentice and has quickly become an integral part of the finance team. Having completed her AAT Level 2 qualification, she continually seeks to expand her knowledge and skills in accounting.
Quality Officers
Harry began his journey at Riverside as a Quality Officer. Since then, he has been instrumental in supporting LDCs and their learners in achieving and striving for high standards in teaching and learning.
Helen began her journey with Riverside Training as a Hospitality and Catering assessor and has since advanced to the role of Quality Officer. In her current role, she supports Learning Development Coaches and their learners through mock assessments and sampling, ensuring they are well-prepared to achieve their qualifications at the EPA.
Maddy joined Riverside as a Learning and Development Coach and is now a Quality Officer, leading internal quality processes, assisting with curriculum development, coaching learners for End Point Assessments, and overseeing Levels 5 and 7 apprenticeships.
Rebecca is the Learning & Development Coach for learners in the Teaching Assistant qualification and Functional Skills English. With over seven years in education, she brings experience as a Teaching Assistant, teacher, and former Head of Year 6.
Learning and Development Coaches
Anna is a Learning & Development Coach for Sport at Riverside Training. With a Sports Coaching degree and 15 years of experience, she brings a passion for mentoring PE apprentices, sharing insights, and guiding their growth. Anna is dedicated to helping them discover their own coaching philosophy and make a positive impact in their roles.
Clair is a Learning & Development Coach at Riverside Training, bringing extensive experience in social care since 1997. She has worked with young people and adults with learning disabilities, and previously served as a Project Manager for a not-for-profit organisation, leading initiatives to enhance the profile of adult social care across multiple regions.
Craig, a Learning and Development Coach at Riverside, brings over 20 years of experience in education. With a background in Physical Education and leadership roles, he now supports learners on the Senior Leader Level 7 course.
Jemma is a Learning Development Coach in Team Leader Supervisor and Operations Departmental Manager apprenticeships. She has completed the Coaching Professional Apprenticeship and is currently on secondment to another team, bringing over 25 years of leadership and management experience.
Naj is a Learning and Development Coach at Riverside, supporting apprentices in developing their numeracy skills and guiding them toward achieving their math qualifications. She helps them progress in their apprenticeships by providing tailored support and resources.
Nick is the Learning & Development Coach for the PE apprenticeships. He takes pride in the high success rates of the Sports Qualifications and has achieved his Coaching Professional apprenticeship and Athlete Personal Development and Lifestyle qualification.
Paula is a Learning & Development Coach with extensive experience in training and project management. She delivers the Associate Project Manager qualification.
Paula is a Learning Development Coach who joined Riverside Training after over 20 years in the early years sector. She now coaches apprentices in Early Years Levels 2 and 3, as well as Level 3 Team Leader.
Rachel is a Learning and Development Coach and a member of the Safeguarding team, ensuring a safe environment for learners. She is dedicated to fostering growth and empowering individuals in various qualifications within the Education Sector.
Reema began her journey with Riverside Training as a Learning & Development Coach. She specializes in delivering, supporting, and guiding learners through the Level 5 Operational Management Apprenticeship, ensuring all learners are challenged to reach their fullest potential.
Samantha is a Learning & Development Coach with extensive experience in finance and has completed her AAT through Riverside. She is passionate about continuously developing her knowledge and skills.
Smaira is a Learning & Development Coach with a background in training and HR, having worked with British Gas and Mitie. She is currently on maternity leave.
Zoe joined Riverside Training as a valuable support for learners, helping them develop their Maths and English skills to progress toward achieving their Functional Skills. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role.
Business Support Team
Emma works as a Business Support Administrator at Riverside, where she supports various administrative tasks, assists with business operations, and collaborates with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. She plays a key role in managing schedules, handling communications, and providing essential support to both staff and apprentices.
Heidi works as a Business Support Team Apprentice at Riverside, where she assists with administrative tasks and supports the team in various operational duties. She plays an important role in ensuring smooth processes and contributing to the overall efficiency of the business support functions.
