Role Overview
We are delighted to advertise this exciting opportunity to become a Business Administrator apprentice for an exciting and growing business in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside.
There are some exciting upcoming events this year offering a great opportunity for an apprentice to get involved from the start. This role will help an apprentice find their strengths through their own development and training, whilst continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
This is a great opportunity for someone that would like to grow their career, and get a range of experiences in Business administration, with the additional element of event management.
Key responsibilities
This role involves a range of administrative and communication tasks. Key duties include updating and inputting data into spreadsheets for events and forecasts, as well as confirming suppliers for upcoming events. The role also requires responding to wedding enquiries via phone and email and maintaining communication with clients and suppliers across various channels, such as phone, email, and social media.
Additionally, the role involves ordering resources and equipment, generating content for social media posts, and designing marketing materials. Conducting online research, contributing to meetings, and brainstorming sessions are also part of the responsibilities, as well as maintaining and updating the filing system.
Another aspect of the role is developing internal processes and presenting these to the owner. Event management support is needed during the wedding season (May to September), including assisting with stocktaking and ordering.
Candidate Requirements
Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent communication skills within the team and when client facing.
- Confident telephone manner and with face to face interactions
- Time management skills/punctuality/organised approach
- Knowledge of Excel/Word/Instagram/Canva an advantage but not essential
- Sense of humour/positive outlook
- Flexibility
- Creative
- Confident to present new/alternative ideas
- Work well under pressure: on own initiative and in a small team
- Strong writing skills a definite advantage
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with client data
Educational Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 (C) or higher.
Future Prospects
This position is initially available on a part-time, fixed-term contract. Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there is the possibility of an ongoing position, which will be discussed at the appropriate time.
