Business Development Manager
Role Summary:
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and apprenticeship starts in line with agreed targets. You will use sales experience and knowledge to specifically target companies by tailoring your approach aligned to their values, beliefs and strategy to position Riverside as a trusted partner and provider of choice
Development:
- To participate in staff development and ensure continuous professional development in line with the post
- To up-skill in the areas relevant within the job role and keep up-to-date with sector and legislative changes
- To be aware of and positively impact morale
- To act as a coach and mentor to peers and provide meaningful developmental feedback
- Participate and organise staff development and ensure continuous professional development for the relevant sector
- Expert knowledge and experience in the industry
- Help to design and deliver marketing campaigns in line with company directives

Communication + Collaboration:
- Create a positive working relationship with other departments and external stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to complete tasks and agree strategy
- Work alongside prospective clients creating world class apprenticeship delivery models bespoke to their needs
- Explain work to peers using a proactive approach to communication
- Demonstrate innovative ideas and solutions
- Provide reports and updates on relevant projects to Line Manager
Delivery:
- To carry out targeted and systematic marketing drives to gather new learners and employers
- To identify potential leads for new employers and learners
- To follow up leads to recruit new employers
- To assess new employers and carry out analysis where necessary
- To conduct presentations to new employers, and learners
- To focus on sales to generate new business in key sectors and employers
- To work and meet with the Account Managers for employer updates
- To ensure all current and future employers are aware of and sold all of the available products Riverside offer
- Consistently generate a minimum of 20 starts monthly
- Develop an engagement plan to generate new leads
