Padstone Financial Management - Office Apprentice
Overview of the Role
This position involves providing both clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the firm. You will gain expertise in financial services systems, controls, and best practices through hands-on experience and training.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties:
- Adhere to the firm’s policies on compliance, training, data security, and client complaints.
- Ensure clients are treated fairly and professionally at all times.
- Collaborate with advisers and administrative staff to deliver an exceptional financial planning experience for clients.
- Participate in training sessions and work towards relevant financial qualifications, including the Financial Planning Certificate and Level 4 Diploma.
Specific Duties:
- Support team members and the Portfolio Administration Manager with daily tasks.
- Use provider websites to gather client valuations and conduct product research and fund analysis.
- Maintain and update client management systems, including scanning and uploading documents.
- Prepare correspondence from dictation or notes, and handle telephone inquiries professionally.
- Attend team and compliance-related meetings, such as quarterly TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) meetings.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, including the use of a franking machine.
- Generate online financial illustrations and assist with quarterly newsletters.
- Conduct fund research using tools like FE Analytics and perform yield reduction calculations.
- Assist with annuity comparisons, drawdown reviews, and other financial planning tasks.
- Maintain office supplies and manage stationary orders.
- Collaborate with the Office Manager and other personnel to meet administrative needs and ensure a productive office environment.
