Internal Quality Assurer
Role Summary
To work closely with the Quality & Safeguarding Manager to support the implementation of quality processes and improvements across the apprenticeship division. Managing a sampling caseload that ranges from level 3 to level 5 across a wide range of qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
Areas of responsibility will include but are not be limited to:
- Maths and English Functional Skills
- Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard
- Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
- HR Support Apprenticeship Standard
- Learning and Development Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
- Learning and Development Consultant/ Business Partner Apprenticeship Standard
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF)
- Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
- Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard
Experience in assessing or being responsible for the quality assurance of the above qualifications is preferred. However, a willingness to upskill and increase knowledge on these areas would also be accepted.

Technical
- Contribute to the overall learning strategy and help prepare the business for external audits and Ofsted Inspection
- Be the sector-specialist on agreed subjects and be responsible for Standardisation, EQA visits and updating own knowledge and CPD in these areas
- OTLA of Learning & Development Coahes and to participate in moderation and paired observations to ensure a standardised approach Assessor and IQA qualified
- Managing a sampling caseload that ranges from level 3 to level 7 across a wide range of qualifications and apprenticeship standards
Communication & Collaboration
- To work closely with the Quality & Safeguarding Manager to support quality improvement within the organisation
- To undertake and support training and development plans with delivery staff as a result of sampling, RAG rating and OTLA findings
- To produce monthly reports on quality findings and themes, support, risks, sampling, OTLA findings, assessor RAG to support overall quality report submitted to SMT
- To participate in curriculum and quality standardisation, providing feedback and suggestions to ensure rigorous and continuous improvements
- To help create curriculum and resources (including mock EPA resources) and make improvements to this
- Build excellent relationships with operational colleagues and external customers
- To evaluate the effectiveness of EPAOs and report and feedback to the Quality & Safeguarding Manager
Essential qualifications
- CAVA Qualification or Equivalent
- IQA Qualification
- Maths and English Functional Skills
Desirable qualifications
- Teaching Qualification
- CIPD – Associate Diploma in People Management
