Lauren has worked like a Trojan all the way through 2021 to a very high standard, coming into the office all through the pandemic to deal with essential office based tasks. The panel felt that Lauren particularly excelled in the Employee Essentials of ‘Foster Collaboration’ and ‘Performing in Teams’.

Amazing news!
My student Kiera B has just achieved a distinction in her teaching assistant course. Brilliant!
After experiencing some personal issues I was referred by the team at Riverside to Micha at Bee Inspired, who gave me exercises and coping mechanisms that had a hugely positive impact. I am now in a totally different place mentally and am able to process my reactions to challenging situations in a far more positive way. Thank you Riverside. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Micha and Bee Inspired to anyone.
We were all delighted to hear this.
Excellent news!
I just wanted to give you some lovely feedback regarding the time I have spent with my course tutor Sarah B this year. I signed up to the course in January this year as a hard-working individual determined to get my ‘foot in the door’ with the NHS. I am just e-mailing today because I have just successfully secured my first permanent position in the NHS thanks largely to Sarah. I truly cannot thank her enough!
Sean T. Wye Valley Trust
Really well done Sean and Sarah B – we at Riverside are all so proud of both of you
Determination to achieve
This morning I received confirmation that Kirstie C has achieved a distinction grade in Team Leader/Supervisor at Level 3.
It has been a marathon as Kirstie is a health care professional at a local hospital and was seconded to the ITU in the first lockdown so a break in learning was put in place. It took a while to pick up the learning again, and we had some technology issues but so great to learn that Kirstie’s finally achieved with a great result.
Steve Harrison, Learning & Development Coach
Well done to Kirstie (and Steve) from all of us at Riverside. A brilliant achievement in the circumstances
Double delight
I’ve just heard that Leanne J has passed her Maths and English functional skills on her first attempt after studying with us at Riverside. Such good news
I’ve just had the pleasure of sharing the news with my learner (who wishes to remain anonymous) that he’s passed in Maths Functional Skills after much hard work and effort. Here’s his delighted, moving and very generous response….
…’I am really, really pleased and thank you for your kind words but it was your teaching which was the key. It has also allowed me to bury a few ghosts which have hung around for 40 plus years. I can’t promise that I will remember mean, mode and median but I will give it a go. Once again many thanks…’
Kevin Morris, Learning and Dev Coach and Curriculum Developer
That’s brilliant news Kevin; do please pass on the best wishes of us all at Riverside for the achievement
Sheer joy
I have just received my results and I passed my EPA with a merit which is great! I am so so happy about it. I thought I would personally email you Helen and say thank you for all your support during the whole process. I really would not have been able to do it without you and I really am grateful for all you have done for me :).
Many thanks
Lauren D
To Lauren (and Helen) our congrats and best wishes. Well done guys
Fantastic feedback
Our learner E has been an asset to the school. She works closely with our PE teachers and me (her mentor). She is now running a breakfast and after school club for some of our vulnerable children. This was all her own idea – she has created a poster to get children involved and planned all of the sessions. She has engaging and innovative ideas which the children love. Her rapport with the kids is fantastic – they understand she is there to create fun with them but they have the utmost respect for her because of her great behaviour management. She has passion and a secure knowledge of sport and physical activity – she is able to adapt in all situations. She is an incredibly hard-working member of our team and I have had so many positive comments from other members of staff.
Olivia W, Teacher
This is just so inspiring. We at Riverside are delighted at the impact E has made at Whitchurch Primary School
Immediate impact
We all just wanted you to know what an amazing start our new PE Apprentice Theo had here yesterday. He used his initiative and sat on the floor playing with the reception children without being asked to and naturally engaged children in their activities. He also engaged with the older children throughout break and lunch time and kept them very active! He assisted with a PE lesson and automatically added elements of skill into it to challenge the children – a brilliant start!
Sarah Turner, Teacher. Luston Primary School
A great start Theo – keep it up
Some great images of our Apprentices, newly qualified and other joyous moments
