Passes in Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2 have become essential for progression in the workplace and they are also an integral part of apprenticeships. However, many of us leave school without qualifications in Maths and English. The school system doesn’t work for all learners. Sometimes we haven’t realised how important Maths and English are going to be to our future. Occasionally there is a barrier to learning one or both of these essential skills.
